How to fix a USB drive showing up as two drives (fragmented into multiple partitions) on Windows:

Hold the Windows key and press X, select PowerShell (Admin), select Yes to the pop-up. You can also use Command Prompt.
In the Powershell interface type diskpart to enter the disk partition tool.
Type list disk to see all disks listed.
Select the USB drive by typing select disk [NUMBER]. Be careful to select the correct drive.
Type clean. An error will occur if you have the drive folder open, close the window and repeat the command if this happens.
Type create partition primary.
Type format fs=ntfs quick to format the drive (you can also choose to set fs=fat32).
Type active.

Connect to your raspberry Pi with SSH
Install zsh : sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install zsh
Edit your passwd configuration file to tell which shell to use for user pi : sudo vim /etc/passwd and change /bin/bash and /bin/zsh
Reconnect to your raspberry, and check that zsh is the shell with echo $0.
Switch to root : sudo su
Install OhMyZsh : sh -c "$(wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/robbyrussell/oh-my-zsh/master/tools/install.sh -O -)"
Disconnect from your instance and reconnect it.

I'm getting adverts in my TV's UI, help!

Samsung's otherwise excellent 2016 range of UHD TVs received an update that added advertisements to the UI. This has been complained about at great length on Samsung's forums and repeatedly, Samsung have refused to add an option to remove them.

The ads interrupt the clean UI of the TV and are invasive. Here's an example of how they look:
